Julian is a quaint historical town without a stop light and has been referred to as “the last frontier,” 60 miles away from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Diego. It is a favorite resort area visited by tourists from all over the world. The American Legion Auxiliary welcomes you to join this unique Unit. We are a volunteer group of dedicated women of all ages and diverse backgrounds, who support our veterans at medical centers and hospitals, work together for the betterment of our children and youth, and serve our mountain community.
To promote the success of our programs, Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, Poppy, Americanism, Children and Youth, Education, Community Service, Junior Activities, and to celebrate patriotic holidays, we work side-by-side with our Legion family. Also, our men and women of the Armed Forces are not forgotten. We proudly serve those who are courageously defending our country.
Our Legion family worked together on a recent Children and Youth project for two children, ages five and ten, who have challenging illnesses. The Auxiliary presented them with Spinoza bears and the Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and the Auxiliary gave donations and gifts to the deserving families and bear recipients, who are children of military parents. Q: I am related to someone who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibilty dates. Can I join the Auxiliary of The American Legion?
A: If your relative who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibility dates and is a member of The American Legion, you may join the American Legion Auxiliary of The American Legion.
However, if the qualifying veteran is deceased you may join the appropriate organization, even if the qualifying veteran was not a member of The American Legion when living.
Contact your our American Legion Auxiliary Unit, complete the application, and proudly join the AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY. Our annual dues are $15.00 for full members. Junior membership is offered to anyone under the age of 18 years and younger who is an immediate family member of an American Legion member or a deceased veteran for $5.00 per year.
