The meeting was called to order by Commander Keane at 1000 hours. (three raps of the gavel- all stand - uncover)Chaplain offered opening prayer.
Commander Keane led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Resolution 288 was recited by Commander Keane. (Resolution 288: Adopted at the 67th National Convention calls for designating a POW/MIA empty chair at all official meetings of the American Legion as a physical symbol of the 1000's of American POW/MIA's still unaccounted for from WWII to present. At this time the SGT at Arms will place the POW/MIA flag on the empty chair, a reminder for all of us to spare no effort to secure the release of any American prisoner, the return of remains of those who died bravely in the defense of liberty and a full accounting of those missing. Let us re-dedicate ourselves to this vital endeavor!) Meeting canceled, no minutes available as Scribe is on sick call· Representative from the Julian High School Junior Class requested a breakfast for a fund raiser for the Junior Prom. Passed. Breakfast to be on the 21st of Feb. 2010. Commander Keane stressed the point of doing a lot of pre-sales in order to make the fund raiser a success.§ Introduction of Guests:

· Keith Webb reported on Membership and Finance. (see separate attachment)· Roger Crossland reported on Bar finances. (see separate attachment)

· Anne - 90 yrs old as cranky as ever§ Post Service Officers Report
· Howard discussed a new award (Boys State) that will be presented thru the American Legion with recommendations from the Julian High School.· The Post Home will now have an official Bugler for official events. (Howard)
§ Unfinished Business· Liquor License - as of this meeting, the Liquor License is still at the ABC board for approval
· Generator - Joe Hutchinson has volunteered to install the required "pig tail" at no cost for labor. Still need inspection from SDG&E· Trailer - A trailer has been located. Cost @ $1000. Transportation of trailer needs to be worked out.
· Security System - Art Beaudry has looked into several companies to provide this service. Either full time monitoring or for the Legion to purchase the equipment and maintain the system itself. Since this meeting the author received word that a Security System has been installed. Details to follow.· Flag Depository
· Kitchen Floor - As of this writing the author has received word that the floor will be done during the week of Jan 4th and the Legion Home will be shut down for 5 -7 days. The SAL to provide labor and donate $1500 towards the cost of re-doing the Kitchen floor, the pantry floor, the floor behind the bar and the floor in the storage behind the bar. In addition, Jimmy Carter has volunteered to re-surface the bar during the shut down. Details to follow.§ New Business
· Flag Pole Repair - Roger Crossland to review· Heater replacement, ducts in men's and women's head.
· Motions were made to Honor John Baca (Medal of Honor winner) by making him an Honorary PUFL. The additional motions were to define the parameters and benefits that are part of this Honor. 1) Provide PFUL card. 2) Provide a special card (Woloszyn) that defines all privileges and that all American Legion Post 468 events/dinners/breakfasts are free of charge. This includes SAL and Ladies Auxiliary events.§ For the Good of the American Legion
· Flag Retirement Ceremony Mon. Dec 14th 6:00 PM· American Legion Post 468 has challenged all American Legion Posts and Veterans Of Foreign Wars posts in the District to match or better the donation from Lincoln Deming Post 468 for the "Wounded Warriors" Fund. This challenge has gone out over the radio. In addition the store called Good Guys has agreed to match what the American Legion District has donated. Your Post, ( Legion and Ladies Auxiliary) has donated $1284. The SAL will donate all of the Proceeds from the "Wounded Warrior" breakfast that they will sponsor in February 2010
